Dr. Marisa Kinsey, PT, DPT

Dr. Marisa Kinsey, PT, DPT is a board licensed doctor of physical therapy. She graduated from Rutgers University in 2020 with a Bachelor's of Science in Exercise Science and graduated from Kean University in 2023 with a doctorate of physical therapy. While in PT school, Marisa earned a doctoral assistantship position where she conducted Dance Medicine & Women's Health research under the direction of her supervisor, Dr. Jennifer Gentile, PT, DPT, SCS.

Dr. Marisa has a strong background in dance where she studied at East Brunswick Magnet School and Mason Gross School of the Arts (Rutgers), competed for 12 years, professionally performed for 3 years, and coached dancers ages 3-18 for over 8 years. She found a deep passion combining her love for dance with the science of human performance. She is eager to learn, educate, and advocate for strength training to reduce risk of injuries, enhance performance qualities, and apply recovery methodologies for all populations including adolescent performing artists.

Dr. Marisa also has a great interest in other sports including basketball (Go Celtics!) and football (Go Chiefs!). She loves to spend her time with her husband, family, friends, and her two large dogs. She is frequently described as sweet, compassionate, and much stronger than she looks.
