Dr. Lauren Scully

Dr. Lauren Scully

Pelvic Rehabilitation Specialist

Dr. Lauren Scully, PT, DPT, PRPC is a board certified physical therapist, licensed to practice in New York and New Jersey. She received her Bachelor’s and Masters of Science degrees from Ithaca College, and continued-on in her education to graduate with a doctorate in physical therapy in 2006.

A Brooklyn, NY native, Dr. Lauren returned to her hometown and began working at Lutheran Medical Center/ Rusk Rehabilitation at Shore Road, an outpatient affiliate of NYU Langone. It was there she first discovered her passion for Women’s/Men’s health, and began additional coursework through Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institution. In 2015, she became certified in Pelvic Rehabilitation, earning the PRPC (Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification) distinction. Since then, she has continued to work in the field of pelvic health, focusing on the unique needs of male, female, and gender-diverse clients.

In 2019, Dr. Lauren uprooted her life and crossed two bridges, moving to the Garden State! She misses Brooklyn pizza and bagels, but appreciates all the space and availability of parking New Jersey has to offer. She continues to seek out learning opportunities with additional coursework in Visceral Mobilization, Craniosacral Therapy, Trauma-Informed care, and Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM).

Dr. Lauren also treats a variety of patients with orthopedic, neurological, and geriatric conditions. With nearly 15 years experience in physical therapy and a strong career in pelvic rehabilitation, Dr. Lauren is committed to improving the quality of life and function of her patients, and is a valued member of the Tri-Pro Physical Therapy team.

In her free time, Dr. Lauren very much enjoys running (a two-time NYC marathon finisher!), competing in multi-distance triathlons (She “Escaped from Alcatraz” in 2012!), and spinning on her Peloton. To keep herself sane, she dabbles in adult arts & crafts, most notably “quilling,” (the art of paper-coiling). She is a wife to her exceptional husband, and a mother to her adorably challenging toddler. She is also a bona fied snack enthusiast, and enjoyer of Netflix programs. No spoilers, please!
